Amick cast as new wife on Christian Slater series

Madchen Amick has been cast as the new wife for Christian Slater in NBC’s new fall series My Own Worst Enemy, premiering on Monday, Oct. 13.

Amick replaces Yara Martinez, who was originally cast as Angie Spivey, wife of Slater’s down-to-earth character Henry Spivey, according to TV Guide.com

In My Own Worst Enemy, Slater plays a suburban father and husband who doesn’t realize he has a superspy alter ego until the implant in his brain begins to malfunction.

Amick’s upcoming credits include roles on The CW’s Gossip Girl as a love interest for Nate (Chase Crawford) and a role on Californication opposite David Duchovny.

Following the success of her character Shelly Johnson on the TV series Twin Peaks, Amick played a lead role in the film “Dream Lover” co-starring James Spader. Her credits also include ER, Law & Order, Gilmore Girls and Ed.
