Benjamin McKenzie films LAPD pilot

October 5, 2008 by Cheril Vernon

Here are a few shots of Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan Atwood, The O.C.) filming scenes for the NBC pilot LAPD.

The ensemble cop drama from ER executive producer will feature McKenzie as a rookie cop named Ben. Photo courtesy Newscom.

Here’s a shot of McKenzie in the police car riding shotgun. Michael Cudlitz (Lost) is supposed to play his training officer, so I wonder if that’s who is driving.

On The O.C., McKenzie played one of my favorite characters ever on television — Ryan Atwood. The funny part is that on the first episode, Ryan Atwood was actually FLEEING from the police. Now he will (hopefully) be playing a cop on LAPD.

Just to go down memory lane, here are a few O.C. fan videos I want to share (I know, I’m obsessed — I need my Benjamin McKenzie fix!):
