Can playas become gentlemen? G’s to Gents premieres on MTV
Can MTV and executive producers Jamie Foxx and Cris Abrego find 14 young G’s from the hood and turn them into gentlemen?
Watch G’s to Gents premiere at 10 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday, July 15 to see if these playas with their street swagger and gruff exteriors can be put through the ultimate challenge — pull up their pants, check their egos and transform themselves into true gentlemen.
From G’s to Gents will feature author, recording artist and arbiter of good taste Fonzworth Bentley serving as mentor, life coach and confidante to these young men who all believe they have what it takes to shed their bad boy images and make postive, life-altering changes.
With contestants hailing from New York, New Jersey, Detroit, Miami, California Puerto Rico and more, the men will be given weekly challenges in everything from style, etiquette, chivalry, business and more as they live together in a posh mansion.
Bentley hopes to teach them that with the right tools, every G has the ability to find respect, realize their self-worth and graduate into a full-fledged gentleman. From the video clip, it appears that many of these guys truly do want to make changes in their lives, and if so, that will make G’s to Gents worth watching. I love reality TV, but I want drama with heart and soul, if that makes sense.
Although there will still be the weekly eliminations, the G who makes it through all of the challenges will walk away not only with a new self-image, but with $100,000 to start a whole new life.
Making cameo appearances in some of the challenges are music and business mogul Master P, food and wine expert Ted Allen, music producer Irv Gotti, designer Ozwald Boateng and platinum recording artists Danity Kane.

I think anyone can chang. But in the case of these G’s not sure if they can continue to apply the knowledge they have learned once they r voted off.

If any of the guys can be as half as smooth as MR.BENTLEY they have pass the test and re-formed. I wish this course could be offer in jr, & sr. high schools.
