CBS to switch Three Rivers, Cold Case times this week

CBS’s new show Three Rivers will switch time slots with Cold Case this Sunday — airing an hour later at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Why the switch? According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS is doing a little experiment to see if either show’s ratings improve by the change.
According to THR, rumors are swirling that CBS is considering an additional script order for Three Rivers, planning order between two to five episodes depending on the outcome of ratings.

Lisa (Amber Clayton) becomes very attached to an 8-year-old boy who she witnessed being crushed by a ride at a fair on the Three Rivers episode "Where We Lie" airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Sounds like an emotional tear-jerker, huh?

Three Rivers "Code Green" to air tonight

Following a bus crash, the parents of a football player must make a heartbreaking decision whether to donate his organs on a new episode of CBS’ new medical drama Three Rivers. The episode, “Code Green,” will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Meanwhile, Andy (Alex O’Loughlin) and Ryan (Christopher J. Hanke) rush to find a procurement team to give a boy a heart transplant he desperately needs.
Dr. Travis Stork from The Doctors will guest star as Dr. Travis, an anesthesiologist, in this episode.
Three Rivers airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Three Rivers to premiere tonight on CBS

Alex O’Loughlin’s (Moonlight) new medical drama Three Rivers will make its debut tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
Three Rivers follows Dr. Andy Yablonski (O’Loughlin) who leads an organ transplant team. The storylines will touch upon the organ donors, the recipients and the surgeons who work at one of the biggest transplant hospitals in the country.

Three Rivers, scheduled to make its debut on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, is a medical drama that goes inside the lives of organ donors, the recipients and the surgeons at the preeminent transplant hospital in the country. CBS adds dramas, comedies

CBS added several new dramas and comedies to its 2009-20010 Primetime Schedule during its upfront presentation Wednesday.
Among the new fall shows are NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife (with Julianna Marguiles), Three Rivers (with Alex O’Loughlin) and Accidentally on Purpose (with Jenna Elfman.)
Coming in the midseason are The Bridge, Miami Trauma, Arranged Marriage and Undercover Boss.
CBS picked up Medium from NBC’s canceled list, while canceling The Unit.

Pilot watch as the network upfronts draw near

TV fans are only a week or so away from finding out what the major networks are planning to put on its fall schedules.
Though NBC has announced the majority of its new shows for the fall at its “infront” presentation on May 4, NBC will announce its full schedule on May 19.
The upfront presentations for the networks are set for the following dates: FOX, May 18: ABC and NBC, May 19: CBS, May 20; The CW, May 21.

Pilot news: Stars added to new shows

I honestly can’t believe the stars that are basically coming out from the woodwork and signing up for new TV pilots.
If some of these shows truly do make it on air (and a good number of them will), we are going to have some really good TV seasons in the near future. That is, if the pilots are suited for the actors. Let’s hope they are.
