CW announces fall premiere dates

The CW has announced its fall premiere dates, kicking off the new season on Tuesday, September 8 with the return of sophomore drama 90210 (8/7 p.m. CST), followed by the series premiere of the updated version of Melrose Place (9/8 CST).

On Wednesday, September 9, America’s Next Top Model will return with a two-hour premiere (8/7 CST). The regular Wednesday night lineup will start on September 16 with America’s Next Top Model in the 8/7 CST timeslot, followed by the series premiere of the new drama The Beautiful Life: TBL at 9/8 CST, a show about the lives of young models living together in New York at different stages of their careers.

On Thursday, September 10, the new lineup for the night will feature the premiere of The Vampire Diaries at 8/7 CST and the return of Supernatural at 9/8 CST. The Vampire Diaries focuses on the battle of two vampire brothers, one good, one bad, who compete for the love of one girl.

On Monday, September 14, The CW favorites One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl will return, though they are switching their timeslot. One Tree Hill will take over the 8/7 CST time slot, while Gossip Girl will move to the 9/8 CST slot for the beginning of its third season.

Smallville, which has had a home on Thursday nights forever, now will have a new home on Friday nights beginning Friday, September 25 (8/7 CST). Smallville will be followed by an encore episode of America’s Next Top Model.
