Eliza Dushku says she’ll kick butt on Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse
I’ve always been an Eliza Dushku fan, so I think she will totally kick butt and take names in Joss Whedon’s new FOX high-action drama Dollhouse planned mid-season (early 2009).
In this clip from tvguide.com, Dushku talks about how Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Angel) has made a totally cool character for her to play — one who gets to be five different people each week, learns different languages, jumps out of airplanes, and a character whose storylines pretty much allow her to be a wild stuntwoman!
Dushku plays Echo (cool name too!), a member of an underground group of actives who have their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personalities to carry out various missions. But Echo’s memories are beginning to return and she is slowly figuring out that she’s a pawn in someone else’s game.
Dushku has worked with Whedon before on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as Faith.
Dollhouse should have a good shot at high ratings because it is the lead-in at 8 p.m. ET/PT for the return of the highly anticipated 24.
Dushku was the main character in FOX’s Tru Calling series and is known for her roles in movies ranging from True Lies, The New Guy, Bring It On and Wrong Turn, among others.
