Encore performance of 90210 today; show sets ratings record
Didn’t get a chance to watch the two-hour premiere of The CW’s new hit show 90210? Or have so much fun watching it the first time, you wanna to watch it again?
The CW will present an encore presentation of the 90210 two-hour premiere from 8 to 10 p.m. ET today.
The 90210 premiere set new ratings for The CW, becoming the highest-rated telecast of any scripted show ever for The CW among adults 18-34, women 18-34, adults 18-49 and women 18-49 according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008.
This made 90210 made The CW the No. 1 network on Tuesday night in all key demographics. The show also marks the highest-rated series premiere in The CW’s history with women 18-34, adults 18-34 and adults 18-49.
90210 gained momentum through the night, building in the second hour in all key demos, including adults 18-34 (3%), women 18-34 (5%), adults 18-49 (4%), total viewers (9%) (Those wanting to get a peek at Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth together more than likely).
The two-hour 90210 matched The CW its highest rated night in adults 18-49 and earned the network its fourth highest rated night in adults 18-34. 90210 also gave The CW its fifth highest rated night in women 18-34 (4.3/12).
Interestingly enough, 90210 out-performed the series premieres of other teen dramas including The OC (my all-time favorite teen drama), Dawson’s Creek, Gilmore Girls and Buffy The Vampire Slayer in women 18-34.
