Ready for more Echo?

The Dollhouse Season One DVD and Blu-ray will be available for purchase on July 28 (though you can get it early at Comic-Con).

DOLLHOUSE: Eliza Dushku as Echo. DOLLHOUSE focuses on a secret organization that employs "Actives" -- a group of operatives who have their memories and personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with new ones, allowing them to take on various missions for hire. The Actives don't just act like new people, they become new people, yet they are never aware they are pawns in someone else's game on DOLLHOUSE premiering Friday, Feb. 13 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2008 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Miranda Penn Turin/FOX The DVD and Blu-ray includes a clip from the never-before-seen standalone episode "Epitaph One," as well as the original unaired pilot "Echo," deleted scenes and seven making-of featurettes.

From Joss Whedon, the creator of fan favorites Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Firefly, Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling) as Echo, who works as an “active” in an illegal underground organization called the “Dollhouse” that implants employees with temporary false memories and skills so they can perform various missions. These “dolls” can become anything that anyone desires: a lover, fighter, assassin or just a best friend. Once their assignment is completed, their memory is wiped clean. But Echo is starting to become aware of herself and her surroundings, and there’s one outsider – a rogue active – who will stop at nothing to bring the entire “Dollhouse” down.

Here’s a clip from the “Epitaph One” episode:

The Blu-ray will be available for a suggested retail price of $69.99 U.S./$89.99 Canada and the DVD will be available for $49.98 U.S./$69.98 Canada.

The second season of Dollhouse will premiere Friday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. According to FOX, Whedon will write and direct the episode that will set the stage for Season Two.
