Lori Loughlin is Debbie Wilson in 90210 spin-off
Full House and Summerland fans will be glad to see Lori Loughlin return to primetime television as Debbie Wilson in the CW’s new spin-off 90210.
Will Loughlin play an integral role in the show or fall into the background? I’ve always been a fan of Lori, so I think she will shine in this new show, though it’s going to be hard to share the spotlight with the likes of Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling, as well as all of the next generation of stars on the show. But as the mother of two characters, she’s going to play a bigger role on the show than the others.
Loughlin is best recognized for her role as Rebecca on the long-running comedy series Full House.
Loughlin got her start in show business at a young age, cast in the daytime drama The Edge of Night. I can actually remember her in this!
Her films include Secret Admirer, a romantic comedy co-starring C. Thomas Howell and Kelly Preston; Critical Mass opposite Treat Williams; Back to the Beach, Rad and Amityville 3-D.
In addition to Full House, Loughlin was a regular in Hudson Street, a comedy starring Tony Danza. She was also the star and producer of The WB’s family drama Summerland, which you can still catch on The N network.
Recently, she has guest-starred in Ghost Whisperer and Jake in Progress. Loughlin also worked with Jim Carrey in the television movie Doing Time on Maple Drive and starred in In the Line of Duty: Blaze of Glory. She has made repeat performances in a number of series, including The Drew Carey Show and Spin City, and guest-starred in such series as Seinfeld, Suddenly Susan, The Larry Sanders Show and The WB drama Birds of Prey.
Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, have three children. (Wow, her hubby’s a fashion designer!)
