OMG! Dylan is the father of Kelly’s baby
Okay, so maybe Kelly (Jennie Garth) announcing that Dylan is the father of her 4-year-old son Sammy during a heated conversation with Brenda (Shannen Doherty) on tonight’s 90210 episode “The Bubble” isn’t a big deal to some, but I imagine devoted Beverly Hills, 90210 fans will think it’s a big deal.
We knew it had to be either Dylan (Luke Perry) or Brandon (Jason Priestley), and finally the father’s identity was discussed.
Brenda is worried that Kelly’s not over Dylan, and therefore, isn’t ready to have a relationship with English teacher Ryan Matthews (Ryan Eggold) or any other man, for that matter.
During the episode, Ryan expressed his concerns with Brenda and later with Kelly over Sammy’s father. While Kelly isn’t 100 percent into the relationship yet, Ryan really, really wants to be a part of Kelly’s life.
So while I love the relationship going with Kelly and Ryan on the show, it’s obvious that the producers are going to try to bring Dylan in for at least one episode. That would make for an fun love triangle, but I don’t see that happening. Interviews with Luke Perry have indicated he has no interest in returning to the 90210 zip code at all. Was that all a ploy or is Perry really not interested? The 90210 spin-off is doing fairly decent in ratings and a Dylan-Kelly reunion would definitely create quite a bit of media attention.
So what if Luke Perry continues to refuse to make even a one-time appearance on the show? Would the show consider casting someone else as Dylan? What do you think will happen?
