Plug pulled on Alyssa Milano’s ABC pilot Single with Parents

First, the bad news, or at least it is for me.
Alyssa Milano’s ABC pilot Single with Parents was canceled last week over creative differences with the show’s producing team, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show also would have starred Beau Bridges and Annie Potts as her parents.
That’s sad to me because I was looking forward to seeing Milano in a new show. Watch this trailer with me and see if you too think it was a show worth watching:
And in a cost-cutting endeavor, ABC also reduced the order on two of its midseason drama series — Castle and The Unusuals due to inventory reasons, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting.
Both shows were cut from 13 to 10 episodes.
According to THR, the cuts were made because of all of the midseason add-ons — the return of the hugely popular Lost, as well as six new series — Castle, The Unusuals, the hour-long drama Cupid, In the Motherhood, Better Off Ted, The Good Family and possibly Cougar Town.
The fast-tracked comedy Cougar Town from Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence would feature Courteney Cox, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Now, this isn’t sad to me: The Graysons, a prequel show about a young Robin, will not be coming to The CW after all, SF Universe is reporting. I love Batman, but I just didn’t see this as good TV series material.
