Secret Life of the American Teenager gets 13 more episodes

Good news for fans of The Secret Life of the American Teenager! ABC Family has ordered 13 more episodes of the new show that is breaking rating records for the network.
After just three episodes, I’m pretty impressed that the network has decided to stick behind the show, created by 7th Heaven’s Brenda Hampton.
The July 1 premiere of Secret Life set records in several rating categories, including ranking as no. 1 in its time slot versus all cable. It also is the network’s most-watched original series. All three episodes of Secret Life have done equally well, ranking as the No. 1 program in the hour on key demographics. The episodes also have ranked No. 1 in television downloads on iTunes the day after their premieres.
Ten episodes are planned by Sept. 9, with the show to return in January for 12 more episodes.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager cast includes Shailene Woodley as 15-year-old pregnant teen Amy, Molly Ringwald as Anne, Mark Derwin as George, India Eisley as Ashley, Kenny Baumann as Ben, Daren Kagasoff as Ricky, Francia Raisa as Adrian, Megan Park as Grace, Greg Finley as Jack and Jorge–Luis Pallo as Mark. Guest stars are John Schneider as Marshall, Josie Bissett as Kathleen, Ernie Hudson as Ricky’s counselor and Steve Schirripa as Leo.

i think this is a great idea. i’m 16 and all my friends and i get together and watch the secret life of the american teenager. the show makes you think a second time before you have sex or if you want to have sex at all.
